Making Sense of All the "Dys" Words - Sarah Goldammer

Disabilities such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, and Dysphasia can be confusing. Gain some sense of what these "Dys" words mean and how we can help students who may have some of these disabilities.

Thinkfinity Literacy Network (TLN) is part of Thinkfinity.org supported by Verizon Foundation! In this workshop, you will identify instructional issues where you need help. Then, as we tour TLN, you will identify which of the many free resources and online courses available on TLN can meet your needs as a tutor.

Building Self-Esteem - Diana McGraw

Attendees will acquire techniques for assessing, improving and maintaining their self-esteem. Using these tools, tutors can also intervene directly to raise a learner's sense of worth.

The charge for this workshop is $15. You must make your non-refundable reservations by Monday, April 27th to Brenda Boggs (618-222-5462) but you can pay for the workshop at the door.
